Because you’re done trying to Google, read sleep books, and sorting through conflicting advice while running on empty.
A sleep consultant gives you clarity, a personalized plan tailored to your child’s age and temperament, and ongoing support so you don’t have to figure it out alone.
I’ve walked this road myself, I truly understand how overwhelming it can feel. I see you, and I’m here to help your family find rest again.
-
Without a doubt, no. The approaches I use are grounded in research and designed to support both your child’s well-being and your family’s overall health. I’m certified through the Family Sleep Institute (FSI), a program known for its comprehensive, science-based training in child development, sleep science, and safe, effective sleep methods. This certification ensures the guidance you receive is ethical, research-informed, and tailored to your child’s unique temperament and needs.
In fact, multiple randomized controlled trials (the gold standard in research) have found that sleep training does not harm the parent–child relationship or emotional development. Studies have also shown benefits such as improved sleep for children and better mental health for parents. If you’re interested in learning more about the research, I’m always happy to share the studies and discuss them with you.

This is one of the most common misconceptions about sleep training. Simply putting a baby down, shutting the door, and hoping for the best rarely works, and it’s not the approach we take.
Sleep is a complex puzzle, and there are many pieces that contribute to success.
At Sleep Belief, we use a range of sleep teaching approaches. Some families prefer a high parent-involvement method, where they remain closely involved while their child learns new sleep skills in a gradual way. Others find that a moderate or more hands-off approach works better for their child.
During our consultation, we’ll talk through these options together and choose an approach that aligns with your comfort level while also supporting your child’s unique temperament.
-
Completely. Every plan is customized to your child’s age, temperament, sleep history, and your family’s preferences and goals.
-
Yes! These approaches are very effective when families follow the plan consistently. During our work together, we’ll create a strategy that feels comfortable and realistic for your family so you can confidently stick with it. Consistency is key when children are learning new sleep skills, and I’ll be there to guide and support you every step of the way.

Some crying is normal when children are learning a new skill. Just like adults, little ones don’t always love change, and crying is one way they communicate their frustration or protest.
My role is to help you understand when and how to respond so your child feels supported throughout the process. We also set your child up for success by creating the best possible sleep conditions, including an age-appropriate schedule, a calming bedtime routine, and an optimal sleep environment. This helps minimize frustration.
As your child learns their new sleep skills, things quickly begin to feel more familiar, and restful nights become the new normal for everyone.

Often quicker than you might expect. Many families begin to see meaningful improvements within just a few days, while more complete changes typically take about 2–3 weeks as your child learns and adjusts to their new sleep skills.
